In September, the excitement of college football, the blessings of music, and the coming of the Fall are in the air. It is a time of celebration and gathering with others by grills, stadiums, and farms across Georgia.

The West Georgia Autism Foundation has been blessed throughout this year as well. Over $70,000 was raised at The Snow Ball in January. Because of this community, we are helping autistic families in west Georgia every day.

However, there is still much to do. One of the sad realities of life is that thousands of autistic children in west Georgia spend much of their time alone and inside; particularly children on the mid to lower end of the autism spectrum. Many children are not mobile enough to independently enjoy outdoor treasures like the Greenbelt, biking, or even gifts that God has given us through nature and fresh air.

Admittedly, I was unaware of the severity of this problem until Linda McWhorter and Peggy Robinson brought this to my attention. They also developed a fun and creative plan to improve the quality of life for these children.

Their idea became The West Georgia Autism Foundation’s Concert on the Farm. This will not replace The Snow Ball in January. Concert on the Farm has a specialized purpose; to assist autisic children in becoming more mobile and more independent.

We would be honored if you would join us at NG Turf, The McWhorter Farm in Whitesburg, Georgia on Saturday, September 14, 2019. Gates open at 5:00 pm and Happy Hour begins at 6:00 pm followed by your favorite foods at 7:00pm.

First, you will be entertained by The Tyn Tymes Band. They are a well known 10 piece band with a huge horn section that plays the hottest beach music and your all-time classics. So put on your dancing shoes to take advantage of the large dance floor.

For all of our college football fans, we will have three big screen televisions with your favorite football teams playing. Don’t worry about the heat. We will have sideline air conditioned fans to keep you cool.

Concert on the Farm will help directly benefit children who are spending their time alone and inside, by providing specialized bicycles and tricycles that will make it easier for them to get outside, naturally improve social skills by riding with friends and/or family, and increase their self esteem and independence.

We would be honored by you considering to be a sponsor.

Sponsorship levels are as follows:

Elite Sponsor – $5000

Green Belt Sponsor – $3000

Autism Warrior Sponsor – $2500

Blue Sponsor – $2000

All Sponsorship levels include a reserved table for eight, recognition on social media, and more. If you wish to reserve a table for 8, the contribution is $750.

When you see the first child riding his or her specialized bike with a smile, it will make your day.

Thank you for your overwhelming support and we will see you at the Concert on the Farm!
